Kevin Hart was joined by his loved ones at the 25th Annual Mark Twain Prize For American Humor event over the weekend. The 44-year-old funnyman graced the Kennedy Center red carpet with his wife, Eniko, and their four kids: Heaven (19), Kaori (3), Hendrix (16), and Kenzo (6). While Kaori and Kenzo are his children with Eniko, Heaven and Hendrix were born during his marriage to Torrei Hart, whom he split from in 2010.
Dressed sharp in a navy tuxedo ensemble, Kevin received the prestigious Mark Twain Prize, a tribute given yearly to some of comedy’s finest talents. A slew of stars, including Tiffany Haddish, Chris Rock, and Chelsea Handler, were also there to show their support and toast to Kevin’s remarkable accomplishment alongside his family.

The 44-year-old funnyman strolled the red carpet at the Kennedy Center with his wife Eniko, 39, and their four adorable children: daughters Heaven, 19, and Kaori, three; and sons Hendrix, 16, and Kenzo, six. After a heartwarming appearance with his lovely family, Kevin took the stage to accept the prestigious award amongst a thunderous standing ovation.
Reflecting on the honor, the star expressed his disbelief, stating, “To be recognized in this special year is truly surreal.” Comedy serves as his platform for sharing social commentary and life observations, and he is grateful to the Kennedy Center for acknowledging his voice and impact on culture.
The Mark Twain Prize is awarded to individuals who have made a significant impact on American society, much like the renowned 19th-century writer and humorist Samuel Clemens, also known as Mark Twain. Clemens was celebrated for his fearless critique of society, using satire and character creation to shed light on social injustices and human folly.
Kevin Hart joins the esteemed list of Mark Twain Prize winners, including icons like Richard Pryor, Jonathan Winters, Whoopi Goldberg, and George Carlin. Hart’s journey to stardom began in the comedy clubs of Philadelphia in the late 1990s, eventually catapulting to fame with his stand-up specials like “I’m a Grown Little Man” and “Seriously Funny.”
Throughout the 2010s, Hart transitioned to mainstream success, starring in hit films like “Think Like a Man” and “Ride Along.” His popularity soared, solidifying his status as one of the most beloved comedians in the industry. In 2020, his stand-up special “Zero F**** Given” topped Netflix’s charts, further cementing his legacy in the world of comedy.
The actor from Ride Along has children named Kaori and Kenzo with his wife Eniko, and he also has two other children, Heaven and Hendrix, whom he shares with his previous wife Torrei Hart, from whom he split in 2010.
Clad in a sharp navy tuxedo set, Kevin was thrilled to receive the renowned Mark Twain Prize, given each year to one of the most exceptional comedy talents globally.

“It feels like a dream to be recognized in this special year,” the celebrity shared in a statement before the event.
In 1998, Richard Pryor was honored with the inaugural Mark Twain Prize, joining a prestigious list of comedic legends who have also received the award. Previous recipients include Jonathan Winters, Carl Reiner, Whoopi Goldberg, and George Carlin.
Creating comedy allows me to share my thoughts on society and everyday life, and I feel thankful to the Kennedy Center for acknowledging my unique perspective and influence on the world around us.
Kevin’s success in the entertainment industry has led to him being nominated for prestigious awards such as the Grammy and Emmy. Not only was he recognized for his comedy album, but also for his roles in hit shows like Die Hart and Die Hart 2: Die Harter. His talents extend beyond acting, as his Audible original, The Decision, was nominated for a top prize at the 2021 Audie Awards. In addition to his entertainment ventures, Kevin is also involved in entrepreneurship, showcasing his leadership as chairman of Hartbeat, a media company with a global mission to bring people together through humor.
